HELSINKI, Finland, July, 2020. – The omnomicsQ BaseSpace app is now also available for Beta testers in BaseSpace Sequence Hub Frankfurt. Users of Illumina technology can now access the omnomicsQ NGS quality control app and adhere to privacy regulations requiring the use of data centres located within the EU.
Previously only available on the US BaseSpace platform, the launch of omnomicsQ in the European BaseSpace provides another way for NGS laboratories to gain access to comprehensive NGS data quality control without the need for extra files saved locally.
The release supports organisations which have stricter data protection compliance considerations that require EU based data centres. Additionally, for organizations located in or near Europe, using a European data center provides faster data transfer rates. Such organisations can now run omnomicsQ in the European BaseSpace without the need for a standalone installation.
