Euformatics’ partners EMQN and UK NEQAS for Molecular Genetics are currently developing the 2016 quality assessment, which NGS labs will be able to enter in September. This third NGS scheme conducted by the partners will also be a pilot. The hope is to offer a fully-fledged scheme with performance measurements in a couple of years. The organisers expect that more than 300 labs will participate this year. Like in 2015, the scheme will incorporate central components of the Euformatics’ omnomicsQ tool, that thereby helps diagnostic labs not only in internal quality control, but also in external quality assessment.
